Evening all.

It’s been a little while but I managed to make a few pens this week. This is probably the pick of them.

I’ve been tweaking my process a little. It was fine before but I can’t help myself. Just minor stuff like chamfering the end of the section a bit more accurately. (I did say it was minor stuff).

Anyway here it is.

Have a great week everybody.

Cheers
Ash

You always seem to pair your blanks extremely well, I wouldn't have a clue with the main blank colours but the raspberry works so well...
Lovely job mate❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful! Do you use silver for the bands?
Thank you.

Yes I use silver which I cut from sheet using a jewellers saw. In order to save silver it’s a good idea to cut the inside diameter a little small and then use a step drill to get it to the correct diameter. Then I use a little brass piece I turned, a but like an elongated bolt, that slots in the hole and the head is the desired outer diameter. I can then scribe around it and cut to that line.

Cheers Mark.
My wife sometimes comes into the workshop and finds me staring at various bits of coloured plastic. She doesn’t understand… 😂😂

Thanks Peter! And yes, static is the biggest foe of the pen photographer 😊😊

wow.. aspirational. I've admired your pens on instagram for a while now, it's good to put a face (at least some very focused eyes) to your wonderful work.
