Been busy over the past few weeks and really haven't got much done,I go on work experience tommorow so today was the only time to do something...

I glued up several 3'' hunter blanks with a variety of woods aswell as starting work on a 13'' bowie in walnut (I don't have a reason for having it but it wont stop me making it  )

Finished these 3 today and sold them ( £60 per piece)

Then went and bought 2 pieces of machinery

A 4x36 belt and 6'' disc sander, new in box for only £90 with 10 belts

And this little pillar drill, 5 speed and looks to be in great condition, tilting table,no play or run out

Some great knives they all will look fantastic when finished or should I say when they are all up to the completed three in the last picture.

Some good machines I can see them being very useful for shaping the handles and drilling the rivet holes:thumbs:

Thanks Dal,the drill press is great for the 2.4mm hole, drills perfectly every time, even through the hardened stainless.

The belt sander is great for the outside of the knife and then I switch to a dremel to do the inside

Very nice Matt, you certainly make a nice job of those knives. Nice buy with the machines too. What work experience are you doing?

Good luck with the work experience, from the looks of the quality of your knives you should have no problems at a gunsmiths
