More about a supplier / Manufacturer than an actual tool but felt it was something that I had to mention....
A while ago I purchased an upgraded electric motor with speed control unit for my old Record Lathe.

Everything was great until we decided to change the way we did things and took the lathe apart ?
I slid the Motor out of the housing and promptly dropped it ????

Landing at an angle on the shaft bending it ???
Did everything to see if I could get it repaired but not one single company wanted to touch it saying it would cost more to repair than replace ???

I then contact Record Power (Richard Strutt you are a star), I explained what I had done and could they repair the motor, all my fault, willing to pay for the repair / replacement.

Richard got back to me yesterday asking me to phone him, I was totally shocked when he said that Record Power were willing to send me a FREE Replacement Motor and they just needed my address ?????

That was yesterday morning (Tuesday 18th Dec) Just had a Parcel delivered (Wednesday 19th Dec) with a Brand New Electric Motor and note wishing me a Happy Christmas ?????

Absolutley fantastic customer service and something I certainly wasn’t expecting

Just wanted to pass on that some companies do actually look after there customers and Record Power have ceretainly done that without a shadow of doubt ??????

I phoned them last month and have been told that a new motor will be here January and the new bracket to follow in February as they no longer have my motor in stock and it will need an adaptor plate to fit to my machine.
Just have to wait until the new year luckily I have another lathe to play with
