Hi pen friends.

So I managed to make 2 pens in 3 days in 2025, but I feel I may have peaked in terms of productivity now. Still, it was good while it lasted.

I’ve got some new ideas in the pipeline for this year, which I hope will come to fruition but they are gong to take a fair bit of time and effort during the R&D. Even then I’m not convinced I will be successful but if you don’t try…

So in the meantime I’ll be experimenting with smaller tweaks and embellishments. In this case I’ve added an extra accent ring to the open/nib end of the section. It’s not a new idea as you’ll often seen this done with metal, but you don’t often see it with coloured accents like this. Anyway I think it came out well and was very popular. So I will probably add this to most of my pens going forwards.

The rest of the pen is fairly standard - 14mm triple lead threads for the cap, Jowo nib and chrome plated pocket clip from Beaufort.

Cheers
Ash

A question the accents on the cap and the body do you thread the cap to hold the accent or do you glue the cap and body end pieces in place.
Both! Screw and glue the barrel accent ring but I just screw the cap finial if there is a clip just in case the clip fails. That way it can be replaced.
