Rescued from the firewood basket

A friend of mine who is a carpenter had placed this little piece of Bubinga in his firewood basket as such a tiny piece of wood was of no use to him. Lucky I spotted it! Nice simple grain and much better as a pen I think.

Yes i know its another shiny pen. I just like shiny things!

Another piece of useless info for you. The pebbles in the photo came from Clovelly, a beautiful private village in north Devon. Well worth a visit if you get the chance.

I have been to Clovelly, its beautiful except for the bloody steps up the highstreet, there's a lot of 'em.....

Well you are certainly right about the steps but I cheated and used the Land Rover for trip back up the hill.
