Hope I've got the name of the timber right it was a blank that Phill kindly gave me.

Set on a gun metal slimline with coves ala Peter, I hope he thinks I've done them justice

Love it Doug, fine job with the coves to my friend, a good choice of accents for this wood, they do go together.. :bwink:

I love the shape, colour and finish Phil no matter what the wood is.

The timber seems a new one to everybody so that's my cue!
Rhodesian copalwood (Guibourtia coleosperma) hails from East Africa, mainly Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania. Related to West African Bubinga (G. tessemanii) but it's quite different from bubinga - pink-yellow background with fine veins of rose red and fine textured. Has a fragrant scent too (copal resin). Very rarely seen these days, this is a new addition to my pen blanks list, I got hold of some reclaimed material quite recently. Really beautiful wood IMO.

Just finished three pens played around with the exposure managed to get detail in dark seemed to help me also brought the lights in closer and used a smaller aperture, only saying mate.

Kind regards Peter.
