The timber seems a new one to everybody so that's my cue!

Rhodesian copalwood (Guibourtia coleosperma) hails from East Africa, mainly Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania. Related to West African Bubinga (G. tessemanii) but it's quite different from bubinga - pink-yellow background with fine veins of rose red and fine textured. Has a fragrant scent too (copal resin). Very rarely seen these days, this is a new addition to my pen blanks list, I got hold of some reclaimed material quite recently. Really beautiful wood IMO.
