I made this from Beech and it measures 1 1/4" by 10 1/2". I am not sure what come over me but I was taking material from the centre and the ripples just appeared honest gov they were there all the time.
It was one of those moments that I thought I would try something different. Not sure if it works but the wife loves it so it can't be that bad, but there is no understanding a women's thinking.

Finished with the chestnut system I liked the glossy look as if it was ripples on water

C & C welcome and thought on the design

Is that what a witches tit looks like?
Never seen one before so I don't quite know what to think yet.
I am sure someone will have something nice to say about it and I might follow suit after seeing a few more comments.
On the other hand I might not, but who takes any notice of me anyway init?

Beautifully turned and finished Derek. I like this a lot. The shadow around the rim and the centre lend themselves well to a wall hanging piece.
