Ripples

[Dalboy]

I made this from Beech and it measures 1 1/4" by 10 1/2". I am not sure what come over me but I was taking material from the centre and the ripples just appeared honest gov they were there all the time.
It was one of those moments that I thought I would try something different. Not sure if it works but the wife loves it so it can't be that bad, but there is no understanding a women's thinking.

Finished with the chestnut system I liked the glossy look as if it was ripples on water

Never seen one before so I don't quite know what to think yet.

Very nice, I like the ripples, I always take them out when they appear while removing the wood but I think it goes well with the overall shape of the piece.
