She was scrapped the year after I was born,I do like the plaques etc they make a saleable story and pen.

Thanks Peter , i am slowly gathering a collection of naval history in the form of pens , i also have and save the photo of what i salvaged it from with the plaque in view. I am a collector and occasionally sell some of my blanks to be able to buy the next one. These wooden items are rare to get any sized blanks out of them to be able to make pens and i only have a limited supply of them when i do buy them ( not cheaply either) .
