This one has taken me quite a bit of time to make, I had to re-finish it several times to get the finish that would be suitable. It had little pores which I filled with ebony dust.

Hi, Ilya, WOW! what a lovely pen - love it! I've never heard of/worked with ramon stump - it sounds like an infectious disease but sure makes a beautiful pen!

Ilya,

did the turning justice mate the finish mirror perfect, difficult timber IMHO you exceeded the blank. I have an antique hand coffee grinder I keep for grinding ebony turnings works wonders.

Kind regards Peter.

Thank you for your comments. I never heard of this timber either before I got this blank in the mix that I bought from a local guy... Penpal - that is a great idea to use an old grinder to grind the shavings of any wood into finer dust!
