Love it Neil, great grain in this one. I bet it feels great to get back to some serious turning.

Normally associate Rose Bowl with America, neat surprise there Neil. Is that a briar type rootstock or the graft join?.In any case it is impressive mate. Well made and conceived.

I love that Neil, amazing lump of timber, does Ali know you've been digging up her roses?
It can't have been easy to turn. You should think about becoming a teacher.

It was from a cultivated garden rose Peter. It was an already quite spherical with the roots coming out at all angles.

Sarcy so and so!:funny:

Ali dug it out from a clients garden. They've just had a glass atrium built along the rear of their property, and the garden is being re modelled. She brought the root home rather than bin it because she knows me so well!:whistling::funny:

How romantic Neil you get her roses and she give you a rose root ball probably from the rose bush you nicked the roses from in the first place:whistling::whistling::whistling::funny::funny::funny:
