Rosita on a JR Gentleman's Rollerball Pen

A Chrome plated JR Gentleman's Rollerball Pen carrying a blank made from Rosita, finished with a couple of coats from friction polish and waxed using the Renaissance Wax Polish ..

Sorry mate I dunno if it's the wood or the pic or me but it don't look like it has been rubbed down.
Looks to be full of scratches I don't like it.

Rosita is a new timber to me, is it open grained Jim? I wonder if that is what Brian is seeing:nooidea:

It is open grain Doug, it is the colour that makes this wood attractive .. It is also very easy to work with and you could shape it with 400 grit sandpaper to be honest .. :thumbs:

Rosita is a hard wood to get a real smooth finish you are left with a lot of tinny paw holes its just the nature of the wood so well done Jim you got about the best finish possible on that wood the only way to improve it is to make a slurry using super glue as a grain filler well done that man

I like the wood and the colour of kit you have put it on, but I have the same thoughts as Grump, now that's worrying, me, same thoughts as grump... :vangry:
