Thats fantastic Woody. I've just filled a trailer up with logs like that for my friends log burner. I might have to take them back

How is the lid done? Is there a recess for the box to fit into, or does it have a tenon? I could see both working, but not sure how I would turn it!

I turned the two arts as one then parted the lid from the box and then hollowed the box out then parted that of if you want I will do another one tomorrow and take some photos if you want me to let me know

Ah! I think I see it now. So presumably you reduced the diameter in the lid slightly, before parting off below that (effectively a small relief cut became the tenon)?

Thanks!

I like them woody. Like you I never throw any bits out because in that piece of what appears to be a useless piece there is a turning or something:thumbs:
