Rowan Omega in gunmetal.

Tricky little knot at the centre band that had me worried a couple of times whilst turning, but with a super sharp skew and a lot of care it turned out OK.

The knots didn't really show in the blank, just a bit of a wiggle in the grain. But as I turned it round they started to show.......and catch a bit. I was worried that being so close to the ends of the blank they might catch and chip off a bit. But they ended up giving a nice symmetry either side of the centre band.

Lovely pen and wood. but very bad luck in Scotland to cut down a Rowan tree, they ward off evil spirits. If we call it mountain ash we might get away with it.:funny:
