I've been turning for a while now, bowls, lidded pots, vases etc but, recently got into pens. I have become obsessed and I love it, I think it's the immediacy that I like the fact that you can go from block to finished article in an hour or two. My problem now is what to do with so many beautiful pens, there's only so many gifts that you can give per year.

Welcome aboard, it can be very addictive not only turning pens but collecting blanks🤣🤣
And then turning, I tend to do a few craft fairs and sell through a couple of retail outlets.... Pricing is the hardest part 😁😁

Hi Duncan, welcome to the gang. A lot of Turners do craft fairs. You could create a page to sell your pens through Facebook.

Thanks guys, strangely enough I attended a local village Christmas Mkt today and shifted quite a lot of both bowls and pens, pleasing for a first timer. I like the Facebook idea, should give that a try.

Hi Duncan. Welcome aboard. It's a pretty deep rabbit hole you've stumbled into - enjoy the journey.

Your inventiveness in selling your pens will evolve over time if you have the motivation to do it. For many, pen turning will always remain a hobby but there are plenty of folks out there who earn a living from it, or at least a good part of their living. There is definitely a market out there for pens if you have the will to pursue it

Hi and welcome Duncan. I hope you are enjoying the journey and good to hear you had a good day of selling.
Not bad for someone living in the smallest county in the UK I use to live at RAF Cottesmore many moons ago and remember fishing in Rutland waters
