This news hit me hard.

I had the good fortune to meet Greg at a pen show a few years ago, we'd known each other through membership of the Pen Artisan Guild and planned to get together for a minute or two (depending on how busy the show was). Carlene, his wife, ran the booth while Greg and I wandered outside and spent a solid hour talking pens, materials, tools, techniques, and whatever.

If you've ever held one of his special creations, as I did that day, you'll know how much room for improvement there is - a high bar indeed.

I'll treasure the memory.

Greg was one of the good guys. I had dealings with him and spoke to him many times over the years. He was a lovely man and will be greatly missed.
