About a month ago I posted some pens on another forum. I was contacted by a man and asked where he might buy some of my blanks. Turns out the man was retired Army Major General Thomas Lightner. He oversees a turning program for wounded warriors. Here is their home page. http://www.sdwt.org/ The program is called Turn Around for Vets. This program is 8 years old. They have 3 sites and instruct vets 3 days a week. They go through about 500 blanks a week. I filled a large flat rate box with 24 serpentine and other blanks. Last week I sent a second box. Since their program runs entirely on donations I don't think they will buy any from me. That's ok, it's about helping our veterans. They also have a fund raiser that sells turned items and one of those items is tops. Going to send some of those to.

Just thought you would be interested in a successful program here.

Your contribution was way above your blanks value is great the thought out of the box and yes there are so many ways we can help I belong to the Vietnam Veterans Assn and have been deeply involved PDST is rife over here for Vets.
