Well, here's the Yew bud vase that was cracking. I left iron top of the aircon vent in the office, and it didn't seem to be moving any more.

I filled it with some copper mica powder, with thin ca on top. It isn't quite as shiny as I hoped, but the gap is pretty well filled, and I quite like the effect. Unfortunately I lost a little bit of the bark detail through sanding, but never mind!

A warning to anyone trying this though - if you think glitter can be bad for getting everywhere, it has got nothing on this stuff!

It is fine enough to float as a dust, if you rub a bit of it on anything, it just smears all over the place!

I would recommend a face mask!
