Just in case some of you have some fancy saw storage. I have just won a set of japanese saws, which will be added to my collection of other saws English style. With the English saws there is not a problem in making a till for them. I was just wondering how is the best way to store the japanes saws as some have teeth on both edges.
I want to have both styles in the same cabinet any ideas please and any picture of your storage
This is the set I just won. And I have not yet had time to play with them as I only collected them this morning from the Post Office.

Well done Derek, congratulations. I have a set of these saws. I now prefer them to European saws and doubt if I would ever go back, I store mine laying flat on a shelf and it does not seem to do any damage to them. I do store them the plastic tooth guards though.

Cheers
Frederick

I have magnetic tool holding strips to hang my Japanese saws on in the workshop. If you are into doing dovetails with them I can recommend David Barron magnetic dovetail guides and the Katz-Moses ones look good too

They knocked me out last time because I had a signature so thats the reason you won from over there, you were fortunate to have the freight paid and the winner did not pick up mate. Enjoy the saws. The forum is U Beaut Forum.

Yes Peter very lucky on both counts I took my signature out. I was surprised at the number of people that entered and feel very lucky as you know I post on there quite a bit all be it mainly in the toymaking section
