hello folks

here is an oak vessel which I have made recently.

it was turned a few weeks ago and set aside to dry then I carved it and scorched it with a blow torch before wire brushing to create a texture.

its 10" tall by 7" wide

Very nice indeed George I like the shape and the idea of the cut outs.

Another lovely creation George. It looks so simple but so effective... but then the master of any trade makes it look simple

As has been said on a couple of posts, great vase, lovely shape and cutouts, but I preferred the natural look before scorching.

Love the shape of this vessel. Scorching and wire brushing adds an interesting look. Do you have access to a sand blaster? Blast between growth rings first then scorch will give it a different look. I think 3 cut aways would look nice to.
