Paul Middleton posted his scratch awl (ooh err missus) a short while ago - here it is again by the way - thanks Paul. Various people wanted to get hold of one so I agreed to order some and they've finally arrived. They are solid brass with a steel point. Those who said by various means that they were in, please can you email or PM me your details and I'll sort you out - Alan (the mackay) I've put yours aside with the slowly burgeoning pile of other items I'm keeping for you, when you're ready.

I got a small number of extras too, which I've put on the website. They sent the wrong bushings so I've had to have those made locally. The kit and the bushings are effectively non-profit making, and once they're gone they're gone, unless they are for a special order again. Any that are left over after a few days, I'll put the price up to a profit making one and offer them in the wider market. (Although they're on the website, they haven't been advertised outside this forum, so the price you see now is just to cover my costs, which includes all the customs duties and vat)

Here's the link. scratch awls

These are lovely quality with a super weight and its certainly becoming a central part of my tool kit.

Ray, yes thats what it is, to replace the pencil. You get a much closer line to the ruler and therefore much more accuracy to your woodwork.
