Following yesterdays acrylic Rhodium Zeta I made this one. It's come from a blank of oak reclaimed from a wine cask that belonged to a chateau in France. It's a present for a good friend who I hope will appreciate it. After numerous sandings I used three layers of Craft Coat and finished off with a coat of microcrystalline wax to avoid finger marks. This time I paid a little bit more attention to the photography side. Still lots of room for improvements.

Looks very nice Robbie and just tweaked you picture to zoom in a little and tipped on end..

Some might like it and some may say it's rubbish job that silver has done and prefer you original picture..

Only my opinion..:face:

Robbie I like your pen and the way you placed it cropping is good and without turning on its head Silver helps. great gift IMHO. The Chateau conjures up so many mind pics.

Thank's Eamonn, the crop/turn has helped. I dug out a light box I bought a few years ago as the previous attempt was taken with a kitchen light only. I should have known better as I have been a keen photographer for years. I notice a lot of people seem to use some kind of perspex single pen stand to give a bit of a dimension to their photographs, where can I find one? I have searched eBay and Amazon without success.
