Think that they're great, things dont have to be complicated to be good. The one thing I'll add is that you may want to try hollowing the inside of the lid a bit in future as it might feel slightly odd if you pick them up, a bit top heavy.

Two good looking boxes Matt, i particularly like the second one with the smooth curve .. Good finish on them also .. :thumbs:

Coming on a treat, I like the second one best, looks like a great grain match. Agree you could go a bit further hollowing the lid, but very well done.

You know Matt, you have undersold yourself with them.

They are superb bit of turning, well executed and finished really well.:love_it:

I like the second one if I had to choose, agree with Neil that I would like the lids thinner. But that's only my preference .

Oh what a nice pair missus, Matt they are a great pair of boxes like most I prefer the second one I think it is the lid to bottom joint on the first that does not quite look right for me.
