Turns OK and is great to work with, will need very sharp chisels though
, TIP : always wear a face mask or RPE with filters , smells like burning hair and has potentially nasty bacteria in it
creates a good smooth natural finish
Nice turning Johnny. I've picked up some antler but not got round to using it yet. I'm with Brian on it being too bulbous and assume the pith dictated this.

the internal pith would not allow me to get it turned any thinner,
However
I do have red deer antler that is almost solid antler hardly has any pith and this will allow me to get slimline
