A while ago i had the opportunity to read Richard Kleinhenz's "The Pen Turner's Bible" where i saw a pen he had made that as soon as a saw it i knew i would be making it one day .. Well a few days ago i was asked if i could make an him and hers fountain pen using different coloured woods ... Well this was the time to make what i saw in the book ..

The bottom one is i believe to be Beech with Bloodwood and an inlay of Blackwood, the top one is reversed with Bloodwood being the sliver between the two woods ...

I am waiting for a delivery from TR of a few Fountain pens, then hopefully i will be turning them very soon, i just need to trim the edges ...

They will be stunning, and classy. I can't wait to see them finished.

Jim, those will look great. What is so cool about that design is there is soooo many variations just from that simple design. That is what is so cool about segmenting. You make an ordinary blank look like a million bucks just by some simple sgmenting. Look forward to seeing the completion.
