I don't really like the Mahogany pen. The segmentation looked a lot different in my head. Maybe thinner veneer would look better. I'm open to suggestions.

I have probably made a couple hundred Celtic knot blanks but this is the very first one I have turned. This one I like.

Yupp have to agree cracking pens there with an amazing finish....i bought a couple of your knot blanks from Exotic....cant wait to turn:thumbs::thumbs:

I am teaching my 9 year old grandson to make a celtic knot his first one exploded and he is half way through making his second one

They do it for me Terry, great finish on them also .. Can you tell me what degree did you use for the knot please Terry .. :winking:

Woody I have come to the same conclusion. I turned a Celtic Knot slimline and the detail disappeared. The angle is 32 degrees. I am in the process of making a new jig and will try it at 45 degrees. Going to make the next jig adjustable. I also make the blanks using one piece of veneer. This jig is adjustable and I have changed the angle of that one after these were made.
