Woody I have come to the same conclusion. I turned a Celtic Knot slimline and the detail disappeared. The angle is 32 degrees. I am in the process of making a new jig and will try it at 45 degrees. Going to make the next jig adjustable. I also make the blanks using one piece of veneer. This jig is adjustable and I have changed the angle of that one after these were made.
