Sold my little Draper lathe to a fellow member of this forum who paid me instantly. Great
Went in Parcel Hero website and arranged a collection, they offered a Parcelforce collection for Dec 31st, delivery to Alex on Jan 3rd. Superb!!!
Here I sit, still waiting for the lathe to be collected......
Tried to contact Parcel-FARCE, selected the correct options to be cut off as the automated voice tells you to get help on their website. Strange how their website caters for everything except a driver not showing up.....
So I email ParcelHero. They tell me there were no collections for Dec 31st. I checked Parcelforce website on the day of collection and the status was...."Delivery and collection drivers are out on their rounds as usual." So someone's lying.
So ParcelHero tells me it will be collected today, Jan 4th. Still no driver.
So I've sold a lathe for £75 and lost over £300 in wages waiting for a courier. The ironic part is that Parcelforce's depot is literally 2 minutes around the corner from me.
All I get is a tracking number from ParcelHero which equates to nothing on the Parcelforce website.
The internet is an amazing thing but these companies are using it to their advantage by not being able to call them and giving you completely useless "help pages" instead.
I am absolutely fuming and Alex, if you read this post, I apologise profusely for the late parcel. I will try to claim back some or all of your delivery charge. If I'm successful I'll send you it back via paypal. Don't hold your breath though.....
I will never again use ParcelHero. Oh, and if you look through their help pages, there's a little script at the bottom asking "did you find this helpful?". 12 yes, 364 no on one of them and no better on the others
