Selling pens

Since starting out making pens I have never really made any money. I have made quite a few pens now and people are aware I am a pen maker.
I was recently asked by a business man to make him 10 pens to hand out to his special customers. So I did while discussing delivery with him another Guy asked if I could make him a special pen to use every day so I said OK. I thought to my self these Guys are not short of a few bob so why should I be out of pocket making them beautiful unique pens. So next time I caught them both together I said look guys these pens are not cheap if I tell you how much they cost you might not be so keen. So how much are we looking at they asked. I had worked out the price of the components and how long they took me to make then added £15 to the price which was my profit. The first Guy bought ten pens. The second Guy bought a pen and when he saw the finished article he ordered two more. I had another Guy contact me to night who had seen pens I made for some one else who wanted two making I told him the price and he said OK no problem they are unique were else will I get that kind of pen.
I am still getting over the shock I am actually making money it will probably be short lived. But it made my day.
