This is a new blank from Beaufort, and a rare demonstrator pen from me.

Given the nature of these transparent pens there is heightened focus in the finish, inside and out. I really enjoy buffing the outside of a pen - it’s when I do all my best thinking ?. But polishing the inside is one of my least favourite activities. There are many things I’d rather be doing.

The thing I find is you can’t see the scratches as you’re doing it. You have to take it away from the lathe and thoroughly dry the inside before any little scratches reveal themselves. So it’s quite a bit of back and forth. It’s also fiddly. It took me around an hour to do the cap, barrel and section.

Anyway here it is. This is a flush model (no step from barrel to cap). It’s got a Jowo 6 nib and 13mm cap threads.

Cheers
Ash
