After my plonker day I went back to the lathe this evening to complete the JR set for an order and my first two Omegas.

I like the quality of the Omega and the look when closed but am not at all keen on the nib part which just looks a bit too skinny for my liking. Missus doesn't like it either. Sorry Dan, I'm sure it will grow on me and anyway who cares as long as it sells.

The bushes are very poor however as whilst the holes were central they were a bit oversized for the mandrel, the smaller ones are a sloppy fit in the tube but the large ones don't fit. One was extremely tight for the tube and the other wouldn't go in al all, (I tried 4 kits with the same result). So had to take a file and reduce the dia, hopefully just teething troubles.

They will sell without a doubt Bob, all of them. I especially like the last one with a lot of black on it.

I like those a lot.

I showed the Omega round the office on Monday and the feedback was positive in every case, all liked the feel of the rollerball in the hand.

They look really good. I have done a couple of the Omega Fountains and I am well pleased with them. I am not sure about the Roller Balls. I will have to get couple of Dan as it seems from what everyone is saying they are a lot better when you have them in hand.
