Does anyone know what a Sharpie Permanent Marker kit is. Is it just a cover to go over the sharper pen or is that the refill. Confused

I don't think that there are any refillable sharpie pens that I know of. Could be a good idea though.

If you search the IAP site, you will find several posts on making refillable Sharpie pens.

And yes, you can purchase Sharpie refills. In fact, Sharpie offers two different types of refills - they are not interchangeable and are designed to fit into different types of housings.

However, the issue in making Sharpie pens is that the refills are designed to screw into a female opening in the housing, and the thread in the housing is not standard. I think a few people have invested in bespoke taps to cut the required threads, but that's an expensive option.

Glen, you’ll need a 14 and a 15mm drill bit. Simple assembly, Chuck the top of the sharpie away and put the pen within the assembled case.

Here is a video of this kit I turned a couple of years ago. Nice kit to turn and fit but the refill dried out very quickly. Maybe I had a dodgy sharpie.
