I know Jim I've looked everywhere to try and get a brush blank to match the stand and razor.

It was easy when Brody was doing his stuff he just made up what you wanted I would love him to get back into it again !

Vince from the Turners Workshop is having a look at what he has got and hopefully will come up with the goods.

Has any body done them in wood ? I don't know whether they would stand up to the soap and water

Yep, I did a Yew one a while back (on here somewhere) with a LOT of spray lacquer finish and then polished using the stuff I used for Georges blanks, it seems to have stood up reasonably well. A little bit of blooming for sure, acrylic would be safer no doubt.

I have made one for a mate in Yew, lot's of CA and a fair bit on the ends. He says it's still looking good but he is rather OCD about cleaning it and drying it ...:winking:
