Just bought some of these to ease the issues of standing for too long... seem good quality and cheap price.

Not sure they will do click and collect for friends in Australia mind...

When I worked at the University they used carpet tiles in the lecture rooms. One time they were chucking out some near new ones so I caught them on the first bounce. They were marvellous. Our driveway was lower than the roadway passing our house,the main drag on the other side flooded and water about 6 inches deep flooded my workshop. The insurance company paid in cash the full value of top quality tiles, enough to carpet in broadloom the whole house. Later and before another one in 50 yr drenching they dug up all round ours and established decent drainage.Pic (Itook almost daily pics over a few months right across four lanes outside ours. I took daily pics over several months work outside ours and across 4 lanes of road.

What do you mean I have carpet in my workshop helps keep my feet warm in winter I even have a dyson in there to clean up

I tried carpet mats in one of my old workshops but found the metal swarf was impossible to remove once embedded. These days I have a painted plywood floor and it’s much kinder on the feet and easy to keep clean. Some kind of carpet would be lovely though if you can keep it clean!

Whatever floats your boat, I have a large shed in my garden at the moment but i used to make bio diesel in it so it is covered in veg oil / bio diesel so my Mrs has told me to leave it and buy more timber to build a new workshop, and hopefully keep it clean this time, no more making bio diesel bio diesel cost me 25 p per ltr to makeand my range rover runs great on it , ah well got to move on

What is all this talk about keeping clean. There was a thread the other day about cleaning bed bars - I didn't understand that either. The last time I saw the floor in my workshop or the bed bars on my lathe was in 1993.

Hi Kevin,
I have them in my workshop for ages. Nice and soft to walk on. A bugger to keep clean if wood chips fall into the cracks. Very easily to sweep up on or to hoover.

I’ve had the Axi mats for years with no problems. Make sure yu leave an expansion gap round the edge if you cover the whole floor or you’ll get a hump in the middle when it’s hot.

I keep and use my metal in a smallish room and use rubber open holed mats.No probs there the only thing that suffered was me a foot guy removed a sliver of metal from my big toe during a session about an inch long. He then pronounced my feet to be checked regularly by Wilma as they have lost sensitivity. The thickish mats I bought one or two every grocery main shopping day at Woolies.
