These are the standard slimline pencil that has been shortened to suit a specific customer that has a leather small diary.

115mm long with .5mm leads.

I made some for him a few times and shortened the clip to get it to look right but he preferred the longer clip as it holds better in his Diary. But asthetically I agree the shorter clips look better.

I have been supplying this customer for quite a few years now and he has had with clips, without and shorter clips. So I guess it's down to userbility and practicality rather than looks.

My remark on the clips because I am very aware of them and centrebands,I really like both,yes the customer contentment sure dictates the final results. I spent quite some time today modifying a machine for me where most people would just put up with bad design,not that I am anyhow special but my needs are. Just 15 minutes ago I found a reciprical saw brand new in a carry case from at least 30 yrs ago,thanks to Dr Google I just viewed a U Tube and found out in a few minutes how to use it with its blades for wonderful fine cutting of picture frames etc.Variable speed and effective.Hoarders paradise for me is paying off now.
