Have had this blank kicking around for some time and thought it would suit this pen.

I haven't heard of that wood before but it certainly looks good on that pen Derek :thumbs:

Rich colour lovely pen Derek we have a lot of different Silky Oaks that turn grain like that did you stain the timber?

That's what it was sold as Steve but knowing woods some have more than 1 name so anything is possible
