Quite a nice pen. Not sure if it is the photo but there seem to be some radial sanding marks. I always find it best to sand with the grain before changing sanding grains especially with pine. Allen

Don't know quite what they are as I have just looked on the pen and they are on it but they are equaly spaced all the way up the pen. When you first mentioned it I thought that as I had not seen them. But like you say I always go through the grits and along the grain before changing with this one I started at 180 grit.:thinks::thinks::thinks: Got me baffled now and they don't spiral either

Suits me adhered. Very nicely done. Love working with pitch pine, the smell of pure turpentine is nice & refreshing.
