Well to be exact sign finished. Was asked to make a house sign for the wife's friend. Nothing special when it comes to woodworking but as can be seen I will not make a sign writer by any means, but she was over the moon with it. Now her postmen know what house the letters should go to.
Looks good Derek, as per Mark I like the font. Should make it easier for the posties to read. But then again I’m not sure that reading is a specific skill requirement for posties is it !
Not sure what finish you used but looks nice, I tend to use the Osmo UV oil which is really good.
@silver yes have to agree a road ending in Lane yet still get letters for Close down the road when I asked the postie if he could read taken back he replied "YES I Can" so I asked did he not see the difference in the address he replied "But that is the sorting office fault they put them in street name order. with my experiences mail addressed this way would end up in Longreach Queensland here in Australia,of course that would never occur in the UK.. Love the lettering Derek. Had the left eye Cataract done booked in Tuesday for the second one,will see things more clearly then.
