I was asked a silly question for a turner. A lady came up to me and asked if I would like some walnut. being a turner the answer took all of 1 second to answer this question. A little recycling picked this little lot up today now totally knackered. It is walnut, has been laying there for about three years. Slabs are 18" to give an idea of sizes

You lucky fella you. :banana::banana:

I still have to go and look at a 12ft long piece of yew sometime either this week or next will report back on that one. It is funny as it was the same day as I was asked about this lot of walnut. Must have been lucky as there was two other turners there when I was asked so luck of the draw. well in one instance it was as the yew man knows me from old and have had wood off of him before.
