A short while ago Eamonn sent me a couple of kits to try out, I showed the click when I put it together and that is still working goodly at work.
I didn't have anything in mind for this one and left it on my bureau for another day.
Bob sent me some pieces of wood to practice carving, among them were some pen blanks one of which kept catching my eye.
The piece of Yew in this pic, not only is it X cut, it has a X cut knot in it.
Rather challenging me to cut it up and stick it on Eamonn's kit methinks, so that's wot I dun init?

As per the norm for me these days I can't get nuffink write and went and cut to much off the bottom so it don't fit good.
Turned between centers and I don't got no bushes to fit so I had to measure it, now I thought I was being very carefull and precise wiv my measurements but obviously not as clever as I fort I was init?
Build it up ca tomorrow if i can find time.

Sounds like it all went against you Brian but you've done a good job on everything else. How nice is that Yew? You get the feeling it goes right through the pen. Love it, Dad, init.

You've still made a cracking job Brian.

That yew came from a tree I cut down 20 years ago. Wonder if it's seasoned yet?:nooidea:

Lovely looking pen Brian. Why don't you try a nice textured background for your photos say something like a bit of carpet. You will be surprised with the outcome.

OOOhh that would be toe treading and Vic the Pic could get nasty, leather apron is Ed's territory, Hessian is for tarts, cows eat grass fish shit in water, I think I have permission for paper so will stick with that until told otherwise.

I couldn't think what the kit is called so I gave it a name init?
I didn't realise it is a Dan kit, very nice though all components seem goodly, strange size tube I used a 9mm drill and put it directly between centres then measured it, only thing I can think is I must have closed the calliper slightly after doing the top end.
That'll learn me to check after putting them down init?

It's not a Dan kit Brian , it's a Dayacom Rose Gold Aero kit.

I have to write the size down now a days (I have a small white board I use for this) check double check and still very often get it wrong..

Great looking piece of timber.
Unfortunately that Rose Gold plating used on the Aero/Diablo components will wear off quickly, especially on the cap that is turned to extend and retract the refill.

I went to garden to have another go at better pics, ear yar.
Bloody sun went in as put the paper on the table init.
I have decided not to bother trying to rescue it but send it along with the others to Woody for the Heroes, if he don't like it he can strip it and redo it, I had my fun with it.
