He's OK. He's undergoing the process of bionic rebuilding to sort out his back as far as I'm aware. The six million dollar man:ciggrin:

I've not seen Silver on for a while.
Does anyone know if he's ok?

Thanks Bill, yes I am here, just about.:rolling:

Not had a very good time of late and a few other problems that hit me in the face.

A good oportunity to try out the Forum's new tagging sysyem.

Let's see what happens silver
Yes Phil, the system does work and I did receive an e mail..

Yes gents, spoke to Vic and in communication with Phil here and there to keep them up to speed with things.

Things haven't gone quite as well as I had hoped and contracting MRSA really hasn't done me any good at all.

The cave is a distant past and with new developments that may well see me having to give up this hobby. But I can only hope going forward as I can get the right result.

Thanks for missing me and hopefully if it goes right I will be back behind the bed and stripping...... :winking:

wood of a spinning bit of wood of course..:face:

At our two main hospitals MRSA is a serious worry and the incidences far too high. After my recent stint I had to check proceedures carefully but in the nurses rush anything seems to change.

Hope you are soon on the road to recovery Eamonn. MRSA seems to be a modern scourge on hospitals and a great barrier to recovery which is a shame as most modern anesthetic and surgical procedures are very good only to be compounded by MRSA. I wonder if we still used phenolic disinfectants and scrubbed everything with it like the old days if MRSA would be as prevalent. All the best.

Nice to hear from you Eamonn. You've certainly been through the mill. Take care & do what the docs say & hopefully we'll see some more beautiful pens. When my sight started playing silly buggers I was off the lathe for 18 months but here I am back so don't despair. Time will tell. In the meantime try the healing properties of a few Smiffies & a few drams ofScottish falling down water. Keep I touch mate.

Britannia Porter is my favourite Bill. :winking:

i will get back to it, with bigger vigour than before I am sure.

It's not just the health it's due to work (lack of it) and finances taking a turn I didn't want them too:vangry: I may have to look at other directions for a while until full recovery of me and them.

Sadly I may have to sell some of my gear to cover one or two of bills that I didn't expect to hit the carpet.

The MRSA doesn't help as it just extends the recovery period and slows everything down, especially when I still need some surgery as it's not finished yet.. :rolling:

I hit the bottom of the depression pile a little while ago but I am now on top of that and sorting things out so you may well see me on here a little more over the coming weeks.

I should hopefully be allowed back in the cave soon and make some shavings fly as most wounds are what they call "sealed" and minimum risk of causing infections.. so with a bit of luck next week should be my week..

it looks like there has been allot of activity on here and allot of catching up to do..

Thanks to all who have asked and the thoughts on the forum.
