What ever I do it publishes the wrong way up

The problem is that the photographs do not show the pen off properly. I think it looks much better
in "the flesh" as it were. This one took quite a time to make as the blanks kept falling apart as it is burr and thats if I could
drill a hole through it in the first place. Unfortunately (or otherwise depending on your view) wood moves. I think this was the forth attempt, but got there in the end.

What would we do without CA glue

Thank you for your comments. It's the only way I can improve if people tell me the truth.I have no ther way of knowing.
I concur. I really must do something about my photgraphy and artistic skills. Having the picture the correct way up might be a good start .

Keep at it Frederick, you'll get there in the end.

I shouldn't worry too much though - the important thing is that you've been kind enough to share your pen with us. There are no photo police to tick you off if it's not the best photo in the world.

A simple method is to place the pen on a sheet of 11 by 14 copy paper,light it from either side,prevent the light spilling on the lens ,One light above. I focus on a folded cardboard with writing on it,remove the card and using manual focus still take the picture above the pen. If you rest the pen it allows light under the pen.
