Hi All,

Beaufort Gold & Gunmetal Sirocco.

Maple blank put under vacuum with cactus juice and Red Alumilite. This blank does not need stabilising, I just wanted to get some colour into the blank.
After soaking in the juice for 3 days under pressure, it was time to cook and turn.

Hi John,
Thanks for the comment mate.

The pressure pot is great, If I were to buy the vacuum again, I would go for the cylinder style.

Four comments Paul.

1. Thanks for the top Video coverage that verifies my thinking on Maple that the best is always left behind with conventional methods of preparation and turning.

2. The depth of detail is amazing.

3. Perhaps one of your outstanding pens, certainly a keeper mate.

4. You remain an inspiration to me,I am facing a week in hospital (a few operations). Certainly lots of contemplation time following a brief double bluff yesterday with my Surgeon. The question from him Thursday when do you want these done,my tongue in cheek reply how about tomorrow. His answer how about Monday come in round 6 am you will be in for a week.

So kind regards mate fare well with the vids and real comments.

I like Maple, it usually takes colour quite well. The grain, figure etc is just great. I love this wood. Well done, good video.
Pleasure to watch.

H Frederick,
Thanks for the comment mate.

I have a load of Maple blanks that I got from Dario in Croatia. If you fancy a couple, PM me your address and I will get then in the post.

They won't be coloured, I will leave that to you. :-))
