This was a Hazel crotch that had a split and a part chainsaw cut right across it so I just turned it until the cut was gone. 6 1/2" x 1" 3 approx 3/2 thick. (2mm)

It is not the size that matters as this goes to show. It has a great piece of feather in that small piece well turned to show that off Neil. Sometimes I find that the smaller pieces with grain such as this tend to go quickly as they are small enough for a shelf in the home rather than being used as say a fruit bowl etc
