Today's work was the Streaky Teak and the Yew, the Juniper was done the other day while Terry was visiting ...

This is the Juniper wood from Neil, it really does turn well and gives a good finish. This pen has copper accents with a Blackwood C/B .. Finished with friction polish and a coat of Renaissance wax ...

That Juniper is really nice and the copper works well with it IMHO.

I like that dual colour Celtic Cross very clever.

All lovely pens as usual.

Nice pens Jim I was a always a strong advocate of the slimline pen and you do them justice mate.
I think the Celtic band is my personal favourite here, nice work.

Don't know why, but I would never thought of using copper as the accent color for pens. I do love yours though and will definitely order some copper kits for something different. Two questions though, the copper is a plating isn't it, and do you know how it holds up?

Hi Corky, yes it is copper plating, overall i have used about 7 or 8 of these kits in 2+ years, mainly on reddish colours, i haven't had any come backs yet regarding problems with the plating, so hopefully it does hold up.

Hi Cricky and Jim I can vouch the copper stands up better than all the other platings.
Since copper is the base for the the other platings it is actually thicker although soft you will find if you polish the gold plating to the right degree you will see the copper underneath.
