I glued the tubes in with ca in the normal way I would. I just push the end into the blank about 1/8th inch then put the ca on the tube and push it in and out, twisting it to ensure the glue spreads over it and then just right in.
I used s conventional barrel trimmer but was very careful not to take too much off the end but apart from that it was the same as a normal slimline. I did have concerns over using ca as a finish because I use a lot and the bushes go inside the barrel but didn't need to worry as they came out fine.
