I don't know if its the shadow or you've turned it slightly too much at the centre but it still looks like a nice enough pen to sell despite that and is worth more than the component parts so I would sell it and wouldn't bother taking it apart.

Paul I think you are right it does seem a bit small in the centre!

The bottom barrel has gone a little to thin for sure, but with the cross in it i bet you could sell it for a few quid, saves taking it apart .. 
Damn good effort though BH, try leaving a little more wood on the blanks when adding a cross, you will be surprised how much better it looks ..
