A light looking Laburnum on Gold.

Spalted Mahonia on Gun metal.

Though I enjoyed making them, all 3 look a bit boring to me.
What do you think?

They are lovely pens, but I prefer a bigger band like the streamline.

They are all salable as Chas says, but with Slimlines the world is your oyster you don't have to make them boring Neil, thou i don't believe they are .. Just look at your "Round Pen" ..

Thanks for the sentiment Brian, but I still have Approx 2 Ton of Burr Sycamore, and access to Approx 20 Ton of the Olive!:face:

Most of this is for bowl turning, but what I would have previously considered waste, is now being cut as pen blanks.
Still have 60 or so Burr Oak blanks, and short ends of wood, for Sierra turners, are now filling up a bag.

Thanks All.
The blanks seemed to offer a lot more promise than the finished pens, had 3 in row where that final "reveal moment", seemed disappointing.
Nothing wrong with them I suppose, but you know how it goes.

By the way you only have 19 tons of Olive the other ton belongs to some geezer in the Midlands :whistling:

You'll have to give me a clue Phil.
Half of this forum seems to consist of Geezers in the Midlands!:funny::funny::funny:

I'm with Peter, I like a bigger wasteland too. To me it gives the pen a better, more pleasing form. Only my opinion though, doesn't mean your way is no good.
