Took a break from gardening stuff and turned a little box from American Black Walnut. Finished with cellulose sander sealer and woodwax22.
Now back to some more gardening including taking down a cherry tree yet more wood for the store.

First blush it looks like an engine piston without a connection.

Thank you all. I just needed some therapy while I am sorting other bits out that need doing.

That is very nice, is the lid recessed so it sits inside the box? Can't really tell from the picture but guessing it is :thumbs:

Yes there is a tenon in the lid and this one is a pop fit which is something that I rarely do as many that want something like this tend to open them with one hand. At the same time, I hate sloppy fitting lids
