Those of you interested in the progress of my narrowboat, I have some more photos from today. It moves into the Fitout shed in a few days and it should be finished in 6 weeks, but likely up to 10 going on the builders slippage record so far.

Its looking great Ray. We had a great time on the Llangollen canal last year, no problems at all ( apart from the width of the canal toward Llangollen of course)

Yes, it does get narrow going into Llangollen. We used two way radios and the wife went ahead to check it was clear. We’ve just spent the last two weeks with the caravan beside the Llangollen canal at Grindley Brook locks.

Have you looked at this company?

Lyneal Trust holidays for disabled and elderly

They may be able to help you

No we haven't THANKS for the link, we'll have a look into that.

Our biggest worry is with her epilepsy, we could be wrong but we feel that with a narrow boat holiday, we could be stuck in the middle of knowhere with no mobile coverage & no access for an ambulance.

She has severe & complex epilepsy so we always need to be able to call an ambulance to get her to hospital in an emergency, We had to call ambulance out on our last camping trip at 1.30 in the morning to take her to hospital.
